New Delhi, 26 February (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a scathing attack on former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on Thursday, questioning whether he received bribes from China and Pakistan that led to the ceding of Indian territory. The party asserted that the nation deserves answers on the circumstances surrounding national security decisions during that era.

National spokesperson Sambit Patra, at a press conference at party headquarters, declared: Today, we reveal who was truly 'compromised.' Nehru tops the list. Known as Chacha Nehru, the nation now asks: Was he 'Chacha Compromised'?

Patra alleged Nehru's tenure weakened national security, with secret documents leaking to foreign agencies like the CIA and KGB, even infiltrating the Prime Minister's Office. He cited suspicions around Nehru's special assistant M.O. Mathai and foreign influence.

Referencing Tibet and Aksai Chin, Patra accused Nehru of recognizing Chinese suzerainty over Tibet via the 1954 Panchsheel Agreement, while concealing China's road-building there from 1951 until 1959, dismissing it as rumor in Parliament. He highlighted the 1958 Nehru-Noon Agreement handing Berubari in West Bengal to Pakistan via constitutional amendment post-Supreme Court opinion, and the 1962 India-China war where unprepared troops suffered heavy losses.

Patra also claimed Oman offered Gwadar Port to India, rejected then, now a strategic Pakistani asset.Targeting Rahul Gandhi, Patra alleged efforts to defame India internationally, including social media offers to pay for posts against the World AI Summit. He demanded Congress clarify these decisions, whose long-term consequences India still bears.
