Hooghly, 25 February (H.S.): Objectionable and blatantly blatant posters against Trinamool Congress MLA Ramendu Singh Roy have caused a stir in Tarakeshwar area Hooghly district. Posted in various parts of the city, these posters level serious allegations against the MLA, including extortion, sand theft, and immorality.
These posters mention several alleged corrupt practices linked to the MLA. However, the posters do not name any individual or political party, making it unclear who put them up and for what purpose.
Local political circles believe that this action may have been carried out by the MLA's rival faction or an opposition party in view of the upcoming elections. The posters have heated up the political atmosphere in the Tarakeshwar area.
Reacting to the matter, local CPI(M) leader Montu Bhowmik said that the posters contain the truth.
Notably, Ramendu Singh Roy is not only the MLA from Tarakeswar, but also the district president of the Trinamool Congress's Arambagh organizational district. The MLA declined to comment publicly on the controversy on Wednesday, but he said that efforts are underway to find out who put up the posters.
