
Mumbai, 25 Feb (HS): Tension prevailed at Mumbai’s
Marine Drive Police Station as NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar and Amol Mitkari
demanded registration of offence in connection to Ajit Pawar’s death in a plane
crash. Pawar asked why offence has not been registered when DGCA has reported negligence
on the part of VSR? Pawar, Mitkari along with Sandip Kshirsagar and their
lawyer were present in the cabin. The party workers were asked to move out to
prevent any untoward incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Pravin Mundhe
immediately rushed to the police station and assure proper action as per the
law.
Rohit Pawar alleged that the BJP-led ruling alliance
is trying to protect the accused company. He also raised question about functioning
of police.
Tension prevailed in Marine Drive area for some
time. Police succeeded in controlling the situation.
