Posting a video on X Wednesday, Gupta declared, Delhi belongs to all. Every citizen's dignity, honor, and security is supreme here. She pledged personal meetings with the Arunachal Pradesh girls and affirmed police's diligent legal action, ensuring the harshest penalties for perpetrators.

Harassing, discriminating, or humiliating any daughter is intolerable at any cost—we are one, and every daughter's protection is our foremost duty.

On February 20 afternoon around 3:30 PM, Arunachal women installing an AC in their flat caused drilling dust to fall downstairs. Neighbors Harsh Singh and Ruby Jain objected upstairs, allegedly hurling racial slurs targeting their Northeast origins, abusing, and threatening them amid escalating dispute—prompting police summons.

Police arrested named accused Ruby Jain; her husband Harsh remains in custody.
