New Delhi, 24 February (H.S.): Benjamin Sesko emerged as Manchester United's match-winner once more, netting 13 minutes after entering as substitute to secure a gritty 1-0 Premier League victory over Everton at Liverpool's Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday.

Sesko's 71st-minute stunner—his third bench goal in four games—capped a slick move sparked by Matheus Cunha's long ball, controlled brilliantly by Bryan Mbeumo before a pinpoint layoff. United interim boss Michael Carrick hailed the Slovenian's confident, decisive finish amid a cagey affair dominated by defenses on a heavy pitch.

The win vaults fourth-placed United three points clear of Chelsea and Liverpool, trailing Aston Villa by three, extending Carrick's unbeaten streak to six since replacing Ruben Amorim on January 13. Everton slumped to ninth, eight points adrift of Europe spots.

Toffees coach David Moyes rued his side's solid effort undone by United's lethal breakaway: We competed well but lacked quality to convert chances, costing us on the counter. United's xG edged 1.27-0.62, with 52% possession and superior big chances.
