New Delhi, 24 February (H.S.): Global markets signal weakness today, with U.S. indices hammered in the prior session by President Donald Trump's escalated tariff threats post-Supreme Court ruling, while European bourses closed marginally lower and Asian trading presents a patchy performance.

Trump cautioned nations against exploiting the court's tariff order, vowing steeper duties and amplifying AI disruption fears. The Dow plunged over 800 points (1.7%), S&P 500 shed 1.04% to 6,837.75, Nasdaq dropped 1.21% (277 points) to 22,608.94; Dow futures rebound +0.19% (92 points) at 48,896.60 today.

FTSE eked out -0.02% at 10,684.74 in tight range; CAC 40 slipped 0.22% to 8,497.17; DAX cratered 1.08% (269 points) to 24,991.97 amid sustained sell-off mirroring transatlantic tariff jitters.

Nine Asian markets split 4-5: Nikkei surged 0.96% (546 points) to 57,372; Shanghai Composite +1.17% to 4,129.78; Taiwan Weighted leaped 2.60% (879 points) to 34,652; Kospi +1.69% (99 points) to 5,944. GIFT Nifty -0.54% (140 points) at 25,582; Hang Seng tumbled 1.99% (540 points) to 26,542; Straits Times -0.70% to 5,006; SET -0.74% to 1,469; Jakarta -0.24% to 8,376.
