New Delhi, 24 February (H.S.): Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar inaugurated the National Roundtable Conference on Tuesday after a 27-year hiatus, uniting the Election Commission of India (ECI) with State Election Commissions (SECs) to prioritize voter-centric electoral synergy.

Addressing stakeholders at Bharat Mandapam, Kumar urged collaborative action between ECI and SECs within constitutional bounds, placing voters at decision-making's heart. Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi outlined discussions, launching the book Confluence of Democracies.

Sessions spotlight EVM robustness, ECI-Net platform, and shared voter list protocols. State and UT officials debate streamlined voter management and institutional coordination, centering the One Voter List concept for uniform data across jurisdictions.
