Kokrajhar (Assam), 22 February (HS): A new 31-member unit of the Bajrang Dal was formally constituted at Shakti Ashram in Kokrajhar district. The programme was held on Saturday night at the Shiv Temple premises in Fakiragram under the Chairmanship of Pradip Narayan Dev, President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Shakti Ashram unit.

During the event, the newly formed organisational structure was announced. Saurav De was appointed as the Convener of the unit, while Babul Shil and Shiva Debnath were assigned responsibilities as Co-Conveners.

Addressing the gathering, Vijay Prakash Ram, Department Convener of the Bajrang Dal (Dhubri division), highlighted the importance of a strong organisational framework, stating that a well-structured body is essential for effectively advancing social and cultural initiatives. Arvind Shil, Contact Head of Seemant Chetna Manch, delivered a ‘bauddhik’ (intellectual) session, expressing views on Hindutva and various contemporary issues concerning Hindu society.

The programme was also attended by Narayan Vaishnav, Bajrang Dal Kokrajhar District Convener; Gautam Sarkar (Bapan), Secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Fakiragram unit; Kartik Bhowmik, District Vice President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Kokrajhar; and Pawan Giri, a worker of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Shakti Ashram unit, along with several other dignitaries.

At the conclusion of the event, the office-bearers of the newly formed unit resolved to strengthen social and cultural activities and reinforce the organisation at the grassroots level.---------
