Wild elephants have been creating havoc in the agricultural fields of Kalitapara and Nigam areas under Sidhabari, besides several parts of Nayapara village. The elephant herd has damaged large areas of standing sali paddy crops, causing losses to farmers.

The elephants have also damaged several houses belonging to different families in the village, leaving residents in distress.

The continued movement of wild elephants has made life difficult for people in the affected areas, with villagers spending their days and nights in fear of further attacks and damage.------------
