The event was jointly organised by Startup Odisha and the MSME Department of the state government to promote international collaboration, facilitate investment and connect Odisha-based startups with Israel’s innovation ecosystem.

During the interaction, Israeli delegates engaged with local startups and explored their innovative products and business solutions. Gilad Neuman, Managing Partner of the Social Accelerator at the Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI), highlighted potential areas of cooperation, including environmental protection, ESG, surveillance systems and drone technology. He also discussed possible partnerships with O-Hub to strengthen startup support and incubation activities.

Startup Odisha CEO Smruti Ranjan Pradhan presented an overview of the state's startup ecosystem. Mission Associate Saloni Mahapatra delivered the welcome address, while Dr Bijay Kumar Sahu, Head of the NRDC Outreach Office, outlined the background and objectives of the meeting. Bisasis Gantayat of HCL participated as an expert.

A special session focused on technology, digital innovation, sustainability and social entrepreneurship. Israeli delegates encouraged Odisha-based startups to develop practical, technology-driven solutions to address real-world challenges.

Investors also expressed interest in exploring opportunities in emerging sectors such as drone technology, healthcare and sustainable development.
