Bhubaneswar, 07 November (H.S.): In view of the devastation caused by post-cyclone ‘Arnab’ floods in various parts of Odisha, particularly in southern districts, the state government has decided not to celebrate Diwali at the Chief Minister’s official residence this year.

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) announced the decision through a social media post, appealing to well-wishers and citizens not to bring any gifts or bouquets to the Chief Minister’s residence on the occasion of Diwali.

The Chief Minister has also urged people to stand in solidarity with those affected by the disaster and extend all possible assistance to the flood-hit families.
