Mumbai, 07 November (H.S.): After achieving remarkable success at the box office, the film 'Hanuman Ansh' is now set to make its digital debut. Inspired by the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, the film will premiere on Sony LIV on November 27.
Director Vishal Chaturvedi shared the announcement, saying that after receiving an overwhelming response from audiences in theatres, the film was now ready to reach viewers in the comfort of their homes. The OTT release is welcome news for fans who have been eagerly awaiting its digital premiere.
Made on a modest budget of just Rs. 2 crore, the film managed to outperform several big-budget productions at the box office despite featuring no major stars. Its success has been particularly noteworthy given its relatively modest production scale.
The story revolves around a young man named Laxminarayan, who embarks on a journey to find answers to profound questions about life, death and God following the demise of his mother. During his spiritual journey across North India, he encounters several challenging experiences that gradually transform his outlook on life and lead him towards a new identity associated with Neem Karoli Baba. The film features Shobhinav Satya in the lead role.
Initially, the film appeared to be struggling at the box office due to its slow opening collections. However, positive audience feedback gradually translated into stronger earnings, helping it achieve an impressive commercial run.
The film reportedly collected Rs. 342.44 crore in India and Rs. 452.86 crore worldwide. Remaining in theatres for nearly 80 days, it crossed the Rs. 300-crore milestone in its eighth week, setting a new benchmark for its box-office performance.
With its upcoming digital premiere on Sony LIV, 'Hanuman Ansh' is now poised to reach an even wider audience beyond cinema halls.
