Sivasagar (Assam), 07 November (HS): The All Assam Students' Union (AASU) on Saturday staged a strong protest in Sivasagar against the hike in electricity tariffs.

The protesters demonstrated in front of the Electricity Department's office at Phukan Nagar in Sivasagar, raising slogans against the tariff increase. As part of the protest, they also burnt an effigy of the Electricity Department to register their opposition to the hike.------------
