Guwahati, 06 November (HS): Guwahati Police have arrested three persons for allegedly operating an illegal Jhandi Munda gambling spot at Kamrupkata in Balughat.

According to the Guwahati Police Commissionerate, an East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha Police Station conducted a raid at the location and arrested the three accused.

The arrested persons have been identified as Dipak Sarma (35), a resident of Nalbari, Narayan Kalita (33) and Krishna Rajkhowa (32), both residents of Basistha.

During the operation, police recovered and seized one Jhandi Munda board, six dice, one dice box, three mobile phones and ₹2,000 in cash from their possession.

Legal action has been initiated against the arrested persons, the police said.-----------
