Says, “The lighting of lamps outside is meaningful only when

the lamp of Lord Ram’s ideals is lit in every Indian’s heart”

Shashikant Das Ji Maharaj says Ayodhya’s present-day

appearance offers a glimpse of joy and enthusiasm of Treta Yuga

“Earlier, there was a sense of uncertainty among the youth

regarding religion, Sanatan and culture”: Akash Das Ji

Ayodhya, Nov 06 (HS): The grandeur of Deepotsav-2026 in

Ayodhya is once again drawing the attention of entire world. The city of Prabhu

Shri Ram is ready to illuminate itself with 30 lakh lamps. From the ghats to

major roads and religious sites, preparations involving lighting, decoration

and cultural programs are giving the city of Lord Ram a distinct appearance.

Deepotsav's global recognition under Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath is setting an example of taking UP's cultural heritage to new

heights. Jagatguru Swami Satishacharya Ji Maharaj has also arrived in Ayodhya

to witness the grandeur of Deepotsav and review the preparations.

Sharing his views on the religious, spiritual and cultural

significance of Deepotsav, Jagatguru Swami Satishacharya stated, Just as

Ayodhya was illuminated with lamps upon the arrival of Prabhu Shri Ram during

Treta Yuga, today, through the efforts of Yogi Ji, same city of Lord Ram is

once again conveying the message of light to the entire world.

Jagatguru Swami Satishacharya Ji Maharaj stated,

Deepawali holds special significance in Ayodhya, city of Prabhu Shri Ram,

king of Suryavansh. On this sacred occasion, the tradition of lighting lamps

according to the names and number of deities reflects faith and spiritual

consciousness. The magnificent appearance of Ayodhya is not merely a sight that

attracts the eyes, but a living expression of Indian culture and Sanatan

traditions.

Explaining the central spirit of Deepotsav, he stated,

During Treta Yuga, Ayodhya was illuminated with lamps upon the arrival of

Shri Ram. Today, through the efforts of CM Yogi, same Ayodhya is once again

conveying the message of light to the world. However, the lamp outside becomes

meaningful only when the lamp of meditation is lit within. The real success of

Deepotsav will be achieved when the lamp of Prabhu Shri Ram's ideals is

illuminated in the heart of every Indian. His message also lends a

spiritual meaning to the grandeur of Deepotsav.

Shashikant Das Ji Maharaj also appreciated the grandeur of

Deepotsav and transformed appearance of Ayodhya. Referring to the chaupai by

Goswami Tulsidas Ji, Avadhpuri Prabhu Aavat Jaani, Bhai Sakal Sobha Kai

Khani, he observed, News of the arrival of Lord Shri Ram had filled

the entire Avadhpuri with joy and happiness. Today, through the efforts of CM

Yogi, same joy, enthusiasm and excitement can be experienced in Ayodhya.

Present-day appearance of the city of Lord Ram offers people a glimpse of Treta

Yuga.

Saint Shashikant Das Ji Maharaj, referring to the chaupais

from Ramcharitmanas, Ram Raj Baithe Triloka, Harṣhit Bhae Gae Sab

Soka and Bayaru Na Kar Kahu San Koi, Ram Pratap Biṣmata Khoi,

stated, The concept of Ram Rajya is based on love, harmony, equality and

social cohesion. The ideals of Prabhu Shri Ram continue to have the power to

show society the right direction even today.

Saint Akash Das Ji Maharaj stated, Before 2017, there

was a sense of uncertainty among the youth regarding religion, Sanatan and

culture. Young people were gradually moving away from their cultural roots and

fundamental values. At this time, CM Yogi served as a guiding force and made

meaningful efforts to reconnect youth with their traditions and cultural

heritage. Today, the large turnout and enthusiasm among young people at events

such as Deepawali and Dev Deepawali reflect this change. The youth have

developed stronger faith in the preservation of their culture and Sanatan

traditions.
