Lucknow, Nov 06 (HS): “Under the 'Mission Rozgar',
appointment letters were handed over today in Lucknow to 4,543 newly selected
Sub-Inspectors and Platoon Commanders in @Uppolice through a
fair and transparent recruitment process. I assure you that in the
double-engine government, the chain of providing appointment letters to the
youth of UP will continue relentlessly without stopping, without faltering. Heartiest
congratulations and best wishes to all the aspirants who are becoming a part of
the Uttar Pradesh Police Force on the auspicious occasion of the holy festival
of Diwali,” stated UP CM in a post on X.
At the event held in Lucknow to distribute appointment
letters to 4,543 candidates selected under @Uppolice's 'Mission Rozgar', UP CM
remarked, “Our compassion will be for the poor, the suffering, and the
disadvantaged. Our strictness will be for every criminal and mafia member. Whenever
an incident occurs anywhere in the country, the victim’s side has just one
refrain: if the UP police were here, these goons and mafia members wouldn’t
have dared to go this far.”
“Previously, recruitment was all about the Saifai syndicate.
This government has broken that syndicate. There will be no more nepotism. In
the year 2017, we had said that there will not be a lawless UP, but a lawful
UP. When I came in the year 2017, there was no money to pay salaries to the
employees. Today I can pay salaries after making them sit for 1 year. When we
come for the third time, we will continue the ongoing process of distributing
appointment letters to the youth. Over the past 9.5 years, we at @Uppolice have
successfully recruited more than 226,000 people with complete transparency,” he
remarked.
“Empowering the police force in Uttar Pradesh, while
providing youth with opportunities for service through a fair, transparent, and
merit-based recruitment process, is the top priority of our government. Before
2017, irregularities, discrimination, and corruption in police recruitments had
eroded the trust of the youth. As soon as a recruitment process was announced,
the uncle-nephew duo would set out for extortion,” he opined earlier in a post
on X.
“The double-engine government has transformed this system,
ensuring that the hard work and talent of the youth receive their due. Now, to
secure a job, one needs no recommendation or money—only merit. From 2017 to the
present, over 2.26 lakh recruitments for various positions in the Uttar Pradesh
Police stand as proof of this changed work culture. In continuation of this
series, today in Lucknow, appointment letters will be distributed to 4,543
selected Sub-Inspectors and Platoon Commanders of the Uttar Pradesh Police. Heartiest
congratulations to all selected candidates and best wishes for a bright future,”
he added.
