Resolve to donate one lakh diyas across state

next year

Ayodhya, Nov 04 (HS): In an innovative initiative to connect the 10th Deepotsav-2026,

being organized under the guidance of CM Yogi, with environmental conservation

and cow service, Ramesh Singh Seva Sansthan has taken a unique step. This year,

5,100 diyas made from cow dung from cattle sheltered at the temporary cow

shelter in Pirkhauli will enhance the splendor of Ayodhya's Deepotsav. The

institution presented these diyas to Chief Development Officer K.K. Singh.

On this occasion, Chief Development Officer

appreciated the innovation being undertaken at the cow shelter. He remarked,

Preparing environment-friendly products through the judicious use of

natural resources such as cow dung is a commendable effort. This will not only

promote indigenous products but also help make cow shelters self-reliant.

Cow shelter operator Uttam Singh said the

institution's objective is to make cow shelters financially self-reliant while

protecting destitute cattle. With this vision, the cow shelter is preparing

various useful products, including diyas, from cow dung. This will ensure

better use of resources available at cow shelters while also creating

opportunities for local employment and self-employment.

He informed that the institution has set a

target of donating one lakh cow dung-made diyas next year through its cow

shelters operating across the state. By giving this initiative a wider scope,

efforts are being made to connect Ayodhya's religious and cultural traditions

with cow service and environmental conservation.

Uttam Singh stated, Cow dung is not

merely a waste material but an important resource for strengthening the rural

economy and making cow shelters self-reliant. By preparing various products

from it, new sources of income can be developed for cow shelters. Along

with promoting indigenous products during the 10th Deepotsav-2026, this

initiative will also give a new identity to the resolve of cow protection,

environmental conservation, and self-reliant cow shelters.
