Morigaon (Assam), 03 November (HS): Jagiroad Police in Assam's Morigaon district have arrested three persons, including two women, in connection with the murder of an e-rickshaw driver.

Police said on Tuesday that the arrests were made in connection with the murder of Mitani Debnath, a resident of Dhunusha village under Jagiroad Police Station.

The arrested persons have been identified as Gul Mohammad alias Mamud of Salsali in Nagaon district, and Asma Khatun and Jamila Khatun, both residents of Katimari in Nagaon district.

All three were arrested in connection with a murder case registered earlier at the police station. Police are conducting intensive interrogation of the accused based on the FIR to ascertain further details of the case.-------------
