Prayagraj, Nov 03 (HS): Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development

Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi attended the Svanidhi Mahotsav

organized by the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation at the District Panchayat

office premises in Prayagraj as the chief guest. Addressing street vendors, he

described the PM Svanidhi Yojana as an important initiative towards the

economic empowerment and self-reliance of small businesses.

Minister Nandi distributed symbolic cheques to beneficiaries

of the PM SVANidhi scheme and felicitated street vendors for adhering to credit

discipline and adopting digital transactions.

Minister Nandi said that there was a time when street vendors

and small businesses had to borrow at high interest rates to meet their

financial needs. However, the PM Svanidhi Yojana, launched under the leadership

of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has brought about a major change in the lives

of these small businesses. By providing loans without any guarantee, the scheme

has given them the opportunity to expand their businesses, become financially

strong, and move towards self-reliance.

He said that the Uttar Pradesh government, under the

leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is committed to extending the

benefits of government schemes to the lowest rung of society. Street vendors

are a vital part of our economy. Their hard work and entrepreneurship not only

support their families but also strengthen the local economy.

On this occasion, Minister Nandi visited various stalls set

up by street vendors within the festival premises. He viewed their products and

food items and interacted with them to learn about their businesses. The

Minister commended their skills, hard work, and entrepreneurship, encouraging

them.

Minister Nandi said that it is our resolve that every street

vendor should get financial support, his business should continue to grow and

he should be able to live his life with respect and self-respect.
