Bareilly, Nov 03 (HS): Ahead of the 2027 assembly elections,

the BJP has opened a political front against the opposition in Bareilly. In a

public meeting held at the Swayamvar Baraatghar in Rajendranagar on Tuesday for

the Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy campaign, former BJP national

president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda fiercely targeted the Congress,

Rahul Gandhi, and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav. Responding to the opposition's

questions on vote theft and the Election Commission's impartiality, Nadda said

the Congress's condition has become like a cat going on Hajj after eating

70 rats.

Nadda said that Congress itself set a record for vote theft

and is now questioning the Election Commission. When the opposition wins

elections, it finds the EVMs and the Election Commission's system to be flawless,

but upon losing, it begins blaming constitutional institutions. Taking a jab at

Rahul Gandhi, he said that even college students are smarter than him. He

questioned how those who question constitutional institutions have the moral

authority to carry the Constitution in their hands.

Regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Nadda

alleged that the Congress party gained electoral advantage by enlisting votes

from Bangladeshi infiltrators. Now, it is opposing the removal of ineligible

names from the voter list. He said that by raising the SIR issue, Rahul Gandhi

has stirred a hornet's nest. The country will be run by Indian citizens, not

infiltrators. He challenged the opposition to present evidence to the Election

Commission regarding allegations of vote theft.

Defending the Election Commission, Nadda cited the Gir

Forest in Gujarat and the difficult mountainous regions of Arunachal Pradesh as

examples. He said that polling stations are set up for even one voter so that

no one is deprived of their right to vote. Referring to the tenures of Indira

Gandhi and Manmohan Singh, he accused the Congress party of manipulating

constitutional institutions.

Nadda referred to the Muzaffarnagar riots, calling Akhilesh

Yadav number one in the riots case. He also targeted Mamata

Banerjee and Mehbooba Mufti, saying that despite political opposition,

politicians should refrain from commenting on the family.

Rashtriya Lok Dal President and Union Minister Jayant

Chaudhary said that opposition leaders who speak for farmers were unaware of

sugarcane prices. Recounting an incident from his meeting with Akhilesh Yadav

on the day the sugarcane price was announced during his tenure as Chief

Minister, Jayant said that the then Chief Minister was unaware of the

situation.

He claimed that after joining the NDA, the promise of

sugarcane prices exceeding Rs. 400 per quintal was fulfilled. Chief Minister

Yogi Adityanath has also assured to take care of farmers' interests. Taking a

dig at the opposition's mock parliament, Jayant said that like a child who

refuses to accept defeat even after being dismissed in cricket, the opposition

refuses to accept electoral defeat. Through the public meeting, the BJP and its

allies attempted to energize workers ahead of the 2027 elections.
