Mumbai, 03 November (H.S.): Actor Emraan Hashmi is set to return to the horror genre with his upcoming musical-horror film ‘Rooh’, whose first motion poster has been unveiled, offering audiences a glimpse into its eerie and mysterious world.

Announced in June this year, the supernatural thriller is directed by Mayank Sharma, who has also co-written the screenplay with Vishal Kapoor. The film is being produced under the banner of Vicked Films, with Tips Films and Tips Music joining the project. Hashmi, who has previously appeared in horror films such as ‘Raaz: The Mystery Continues’ and ‘Ek Thi Daayan’, is once again set to explore the genre.

The motion poster features a dense, mysterious forest, creating an unsettling atmosphere. Amid the shadowy surroundings, a chilling glimpse of Hashmi, with long hair and partially concealed behind a tree, adds to the sense of suspense. The haunting background score further reinforces the film’s atmosphere of mystery and fear.

Sharing the motion poster, the makers captioned it: “The deeper the fear, the bigger the music.” However, details about the storyline and the other members of the cast have yet to be officially disclosed.

With its distinctive combination of music and horror, ‘Rooh’ is expected to offer audiences a blend of suspense, supernatural elements and emotion. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2027 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The makers are yet to announce its exact release date and reveal further details about the cast.
