Guwahati, 3 November (HS): A shocking incident has come to light at Assam Engineering College, where a dead monkey was found inside the water tank of a student hostel last night, raising serious concerns over the health and safety of the students.

According to reports, students of Hostel No. 1 had been consuming water from the contaminated tank for the past one week without knowing that a dead monkey was inside it.

More than 50 students residing in the hostel have reportedly fallen ill. The incident has triggered concern among students over the hostel's water supply and hygiene conditions.
