Hooghly, 03 November (H.S.): In an effort to build a drug-free society, the Chandannagar Police Commissionerate has taken a special initiative to raise awareness among school students about the dangers of substance abuse.

On Tuesday, anti-drug awareness programmes were organised at various schools under the initiative of the Chandannagar Police Commissionerate, with the support of Uttarpara Police Station.

During the programmes, students were informed about the harmful effects of drugs, the consequences of addiction and the impact of substance abuse on individuals and society. They were also encouraged to stay away from drugs and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Uttarpara Police is conducting awareness campaigns across different schools to develop an anti-drug mindset among students and sensitise the younger generation to the dangers of substance abuse.

The initiative is being viewed as an important step towards spreading awareness among students and encouraging them to lead healthy, drug-free lives.
