Bhubaneswar/New Delhi, 02 November (H.S.): The BJP on Monday launched a fresh attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of using misleading narratives to stir political tensions and weaken public confidence in the country’s progress.
Addressing the media in Bhubaneswar, BJP national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi alleged that Gandhi, along with his associates, was advancing the interests of forces opposed to India’s development. He claimed that these elements were seeking to exploit global uncertainty to create instability within the country.
Trivedi argued that India’s economic and strategic progress had become a source of discomfort for certain groups operating both inside and outside its borders. He alleged that the Opposition was allowing itself to be influenced by such interests instead of contributing constructively to national discourse.
“Some forces that exist both within and outside the country do not want to see India develop. Unfortunately, the Opposition appears to have become merely a toy in their hands,” he said.
The BJP leader’s comments came a day after opposition parties staged a rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, where they raised allegations of ‘vote chori’ and questioned the conduct of the electoral process. The ruling party has criticised the Opposition’s campaign, maintaining that such allegations risk undermining confidence in democratic institutions.
