Gonda, Nov 02 (HS): The
Samajwadi Party (SP) is a curse on Uttar Pradesh. Whenever it came to power, it
wreaked havoc in the state. Under the SP government, Ram devotees were shot at,
Durga Puja and Kanwar Yatras were obstructed, while the Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP) government has respected faith and freed the state from curfews and
riots. The BJP brings change, while the SP protects criminals.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made these remarks while
launching a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party. He was addressing a public
gathering in Gonda on Monday to mark the inauguration and foundation stone
laying of 69 development projects worth over Rs. 520 crore.
The Chief Minister warned that if any SP worker or butcher
has a problem with the worship of Goddess Durga, they should mourn at home, but
not disturb anyone else. He said that the tenth edition of Deepotsav will be
held in Ayodhya on November 7. Its light will not be limited to Ayodhya, but
will reach Gonda and the entire Devipatan division in the form of development.
SP, which opened fire on Ram devotees, we showered flowers
on them: Referring to the incident of November 2, 1990, Yogi said that on this
day the then SP government had opened fire on Ram devotees in Ayodhya. In
contrast, the BJP government showered flowers on Ram devotees and paved the way
for the construction of Ram temple. He said that during the SP government,
Durga Puja pandals were disputed and even the Kanwar Yatra was stopped. Today,
during Navratri, 67 thousand Durga idols were installed in the state and four
and a half crore devotees participated in the Kanwar Yatra from Ghaziabad to
Haridwar. Now festivals and celebrations are being held in a peaceful
atmosphere in the state.
Earlier development meant Saifai, now work is being done in
all 75 districts: Chief Minister Yogi said that while development previously
only meant Saifai, now development is taking place without discrimination in
all 75 districts, 350 tehsils, 825 development blocks, and 762 municipal
bodies. In the last nine and a half years, projects worth more than Rs. 16,000
crore have been approved for Gonda alone, while projects worth nearly Rs. 50,000
crore have been approved in the entire Devipatan division. Gonda has also
received investment proposals worth Rs. 3,000 crore.
He said that Gonda, Balrampur, and Shravasti were previously
known for their backwardness. The government shied away from its responsibility
by attributing the deaths of poor children to unknown diseases. Today, a
medical college has been established in Gonda in the name of Maharaja Devi
Bakhsh Singh, and a medical college in Bahraich in the name of Maharaja
Suheldev. Construction of a medical college named after Atal Bihari Vajpayee in
Balrampur is in its final stages. The establishment of a university in the
Devipatan division is also a major change in the field of education.
Appointment letters to 77,000 policemen and home guards
after Diwali: Informing youth about employment opportunities, the Chief
Minister said that a plan has been developed to provide government appointment
letters to one lakh youth in the next six months. After Diwali, appointment
letters will be given to 35,000 police constables and 42,000 home guards. This
week, four and a half thousand sub-inspectors will also receive appointment
letters. The recruitment process is underway for 25,000 to 30,000 teaching and
other departments.
He said that Agniveers who return after completing four
years of service will be given 20 percent reservation in various departments,
including the police, PAC, Home Guards, Forest Department, and Prisons.
Arrangements will be made to appoint them through direct recruitment without
any examination. Athletes who have won medals for the country in the Olympics,
Asian Games, and Commonwealth Games are also being directly appointed to
positions including Deputy Superintendent of Police.
The mafia has been crushed, warning to those who compromise
security: Chief Minister Yogi said that the mafia in the state has been
crushed. Now, no one can hijack development projects. The safety of daughters
and businessmen is the government's priority. There is no place for those who
breach the security system except jail or hell. He said that the poor are being
provided free rations, cooking gas, Ayushman cards, and medical treatment from
the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Preparations are also underway to provide
free refilled gas cylinders to poor families before Diwali.
Citing the development and beautification of major religious
sites, including the Baba Prithvinath Temple, Swaminarayan Chhapia, and Varahi
Devi Temple, the Chief Minister said the BJP is providing respect and
facilities to these centers of faith. He appealed to people to participate in
the November 7th Deepotsav and deliver lamps and gifts to the homes of the poor
and underprivileged.
On this occasion, Gonda MP and Union Minister Kirti Vardhan
Singh, Mankapur MLA and former minister Ramapati Shastri, Gaura MLA Prabhat
Verma, Tarabganj MLA Prem Narayan Pandey, Karnailganj MLA Ajay Singh, Mehanun
MLA Vinay Kumar Dwivedi, Legislative Council members Awadhesh Singh, Manju
Singh, District Panchayat President Ghanshyam Mishra and BJP District President
Iqbal Bahadur Tiwari were present.
