Guwahati, 2 November (HS): Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the INDIA bloc's protest at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, accusing him of speaking against India abroad while staging protests in the country in the name of protecting democracy.

Rahul Gandhi, who goes abroad and speaks against India, is the same person who protests in the country claiming to protect democracy and democratic values, Sonowal said.

He further alleged that Rahul Gandhi and his company are working only to make the country unsafe. In contrast, he asserted that the BJP's guiding principle is Nation First.

Sonowal made these remarks while interacting with the media on the sidelines of a BJP organisational meeting in Assam. The meeting was attended by newly appointed state BJP in-charge Mangal Pandey and other party leaders to discuss organisational matters.--------------
