Mumbai, 02 November (H.S.): Actor Ranbir Kapoor has responded to the criticism and online trolling surrounding his upcoming film ‘Ramayana’, saying that negative comments on social media do not affect him and that he does not allow such remarks to distract him from his work.

Addressing the issue of online trolling, Kapoor referred to the popular song ‘Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Logon Ka Kaam Hai Kehna’, saying that its underlying philosophy was worth embracing in life. He advised people not to be troubled by what others say and instead remain focused on their work.

Kapoor’s remarks come at a time when ‘Ramayana’ has been generating considerable discussion on social media, particularly following the release of its song ‘Mangal Rang’, which has drawn mixed reactions from audiences.

Composed by A.R. Rahman, the track features the voices of Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. Another song from the film, ‘Ravana Tandav’, has also faced criticism online, with some listeners expressing disappointment over what they perceived as a lack of intensity and impact in its musical treatment.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is a cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi will play Goddess Sita, Ravi Dubey will essay the role of Lakshman, while Yash will appear as Ravana.

The film’s star cast and musical composition have already generated considerable anticipation among audiences.
