Jammu, 02 November (H.S.): During naka checking today morning at Sidhra Bridge Naka, a police team of Police Post Sidhra, under Police Station Nagrota, intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. JK02AF-6167.

On checking, the vehicle was found loaded with approximately 13.6 tonnes of Khair wood, suspected to be illegally transported from Reasi to Jammu without valid documents. The seized wood is valued at approximately ₹12 lakh.

The truck along with the seized Khair wood was taken into custody and handed over to the Forest Department for necessary verification and further legal action under relevant provisions of law.

This marks the second major seizure of illegal Khair wood within two days by Police Station Nagrota.
