New Delhi, 02 November (H.S.): Nissan Motor India Private Limited (NMIPL) recorded domestic wholesale sales of 3,600 vehicles in October 2026, registering a year-on-year increase of 50 per cent compared with 2,402 units sold during the corresponding month last year. This marked the eighth consecutive month in which the company posted year-on-year growth in domestic wholesales.
In its October sales report released on Monday, Nissan Motor India said it had recorded cumulative wholesale sales of 85,124 vehicles across domestic and international markets between January and October 2026. The company attributed its sustained performance to the growing customer response to its expanding product portfolio, which includes the Nissan Tekton, Magnite and Gravite, as well as the continued expansion of its dealership network.
The automaker said the latest figures reflected increasing customer confidence in the Nissan brand and the positive response to its wider range of products. It added that its focus remained on strengthening its presence in India through a broader product offering, greater customer reach and an enhanced ownership experience.
Commenting on the performance, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, said the 50 per cent year-on-year growth in domestic wholesales in October reflected the continued trust customers placed in the Nissan brand and the progress the company was making in India.
He said that, with 85,124 units wholesaled across domestic and export markets between January and October, the company was continuing to strengthen its product portfolio and dealership network. With Dhanteras and Diwali approaching, Nissan would remain focused on serving customers through distinctive products and an enhanced ownership experience, he added.
The company also reported exports of 4,710 vehicles during October, underlining India's growing importance in its international operations. Nissan said it continued to manufacture vehicles in India for customers in overseas markets under its 'One Car, One World' strategy.
Under this approach, the company aims to offer vehicles to customers in India and international markets that are developed in accordance with globally recognised quality standards. The strategy is also intended to strengthen India's role within Nissan's global manufacturing and operational network.
Highlighting its expanding SUV portfolio, the company said the all-new Nissan Tekton has been designed around the brand's SUV DNA, combining refined Japanese craftsmanship, intelligent technology, commanding performance and everyday practicality.
Alongside the Magnite and Gravite, the Tekton is expected to play an important role in Nissan's growth strategy by strengthening its presence across key segments of the Indian automotive market.
The company reiterated its commitment to sustaining growth in India by expanding its product range, strengthening its dealer network and delivering a more comprehensive customer experience.
