Guwahati, 2 November (HS): Assam MLA Akhil Gogoi has been acquitted in another case filed by the bodyguard of businessman Kailash Lohia. A court on Monday acquitted Gogoi in the case, nearly 14 years after it was registered.

Advocates Tapan Deuri, Jyoti Rabha and Ajanta Pegu represented Akhil Gogoi in the court and presented arguments on his behalf.

The acquittal marks another legal relief for the Sivasagar MLA, who had been facing the case for several years.------------
