Yogi has visited Gonda time and again; no other CM even

looked back at the district: Kirti Vardhan

Gonda, Nov 02 (HS): During the Chief Minister's program on

Monday, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and MP Kirti Vardhan Singh

expressed special gratitude to CM Yogi from the stage for every development

project. In his distinctive style, he said, “Ka haal chaal hau bhai sabke, maja

ma hai sab jane?”. The audience became enthusiastic on hearing his words in the

local Awadhi dialect. He then compared the situation before 2014 and after 2017

and listed the development projects undertaken during CM Yogi's tenure. He expressed

his gratitude to CM for these initiatives.

He stated, “As I have been saying, time is short, so I will

speak a little faster and quickly, but please keep these things in mind,

brothers. We have seen the times before 2014 and we have also witnessed the

period after 2014 and 2017. I do not need to enumerate everything one by one.

It is important to remember how things were earlier.” At that time, people

struggled for basic facilities such as electricity and roads. Women in

households hesitated to step outside because of insecurity. Extortion was

rampant under the SP government, while extortion was also talked about on the

occasion of BSP chief's birthday.

Addressing 18-year-old voters, he stated, “I want to tell my

young brothers that future lies ahead of you. You have your future before you.

You have not witnessed those difficult times when, in the name of government,

there was nothing except corruption and in the name of law, there was nothing

except the rule of mafia. Today, our mothers, sisters, and Samuh Sakhi members

are sitting here. Government has opened avenues for them to earn an income and

created a path toward self-reliance. Today, just think back. Did we all allow

the women of our families to step outside our homes? Were we afraid or not? We worried

about what might happen to them. All those things have ended today.”

He stated, “Today, I want to remind you of those times as

well. The roads we use today to travel from Mankapur to Gaura Chowki or from

Darjikua to Babhnan, you have been travelling over potholes on these very roads

for years. No one listened to you. Why? Because the SP was in power. Mafia

ruled. When BSP government was in power, money was extorted from our Pradhans,

BDC members and Block Pramukhs on the pretext that it was Behen Ji's birthday.

Behen Ji had to wear thick diamond jewellery. Do you remember or not? You must

remember these things.”

He added, “You should remember how we used to struggle for

electricity. We would get electricity for four hours at night one week and for

four hours during the day the following week. We never knew when the power would

come. You must remember that. Today, when our daughters get married, air

conditioners, washing machines and spice grinders are sent as gifts. And how do

all these appliances work? Today, our farmer brothers sleep comfortably under

fans in villages across the state. They no longer have to stand in diesel

queues. They run their pumps using electricity and irrigate their fields

throughout the night.

“Earlier, people in our villages would plead for ration, but

they would not get it. Today, our farmer brothers place their thumbs on the

machines, and they immediately receive the quantity of ration they are entitled

to, and that too free of cost. Is this not a change?”

Kirti Vardhan Singh stated, “I want to thank Maharaj Ji

because he has visited the land of Gonda so many times, while no other CM even

turned around to look at this district. Maharaj Ji has visited here countless

times.” He added, “Today, it is because of Chief Minister that we have a

medical college, bridges and major power stations here and these facilities are

readily available. CM considers the people of Gonda as members of his own

family.”

He stated, “This is the land of Chhapia. Gonda is a district

of revolutionaries. This is the land of many great ancestors, starting with

Maharaja Devi Baksh Singh. Maharaj Ji has named the medical college after the

brave freedom fighter Maharaja Devi Baksh Singh. We are receiving all these

facilities under the Yogi government.”

He highlighted several other schemes and changes and

expressed his gratitude to CM. He also encouraged the public to remember all

these developments at the time of elections. Slogans of “Jai Shri Ram”

continued to reverberate throughout his speech.
