Guwahati, 2 November (HS): Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia on Monday claimed that the Congress would remain out of power until 2047 and would not be in a position to participate in policymaking in Parliament for the next 25 to 30 years. Saikia was talking to media persons after attending a program in state BJP headquarters on Monday.

Saikia said that since the Congress would not be able to return to the real Parliament, its leaders would have to continue making decisions in mock Parliament sessions.

Commenting on the Congress protest at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi, the BJP leader claimed that only around 50,000 to 60,000 people had participated in the gathering.

In contrast, he claimed that nearly 2.5 lakh people had turned up at the BJP rally held on Sunday.

Saikia made these remarks while taking a dig at the Congress and comparing the participation in the two political gatherings.-------------
