Jammu, 01 November (H.S.): Demonstrating honesty, dedication and prompt action, a police party of Police Station GRP Katra recovered an unattended ladies' hand bag during routine checking at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Railway Station on 28.10.2026.

The bag contained two mobile phones, cash, ATM cards and other valuables worth approximately ₹50,000. After tracing and proper verification, the bag along with all belongings was handed over to its rightful owner, Ms. Paromita Jana D/o Manto Jana, of Giaspura, Street No. 04, Ludhiana, Punjab, today.

The effort was carried out under the guidance of SDPO GRP Katra and overall supervision of SSP GRP Katra.
