Chandigarh, 01 November (H.S.): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on its Foundation Day, urging everyone to set aside mutual differences and collectively resolve to build a developed Haryana.

Haryana, which came into existence as a separate state after being carved out of Punjab on November 1, 1966, completed 60 years of its formation on Sunday. With this milestone, the state has entered its Diamond Jubilee year.

In a video message addressed to the people of Haryana on the occasion, Chief Minister Saini expressed his gratitude to the eminent personalities who had struggled for the formation of the state and to those who had worked tirelessly towards building modern Haryana.

He said that when Haryana came into existence on November 1, 1966, it was among the most backward states. The transformation of the state into a modern and developed region had been made possible by the contributions of its farmers, hardworking labourers, dedicated industrialists and traders, as well as its accomplished sportspersons.

Reflecting on the state's journey over the past 60 years, Saini said its remarkable achievements filled every resident with pride, particularly considering Haryana's relatively small geographical size.

The Chief Minister said Haryana was now among the fastest-growing states in the country, with its achievements being recognised not only across India but also internationally.

He described the state's Diamond Jubilee as an opportunity for introspection and for drawing up a roadmap for a prosperous future. He said Haryana's objective was to make a greater contribution towards realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

On the occasion of the state's Diamond Jubilee, Saini called upon all citizens to rise above every form of discrimination and mutual differences and reaffirm their collective commitment to making Haryana a developed state.
