Gorakhpur, Nov 01 (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday

assured the state's farmers that the government will implement a package to

compensate them for the losses caused by untimely rains, excessive rainfall,

and hailstorms due to the cyclone. He said, We have provided

compensation, but I believe it is insufficient. The double-engine government

will work to fully compensate the farmers for the losses they have suffered.

All district administrations have been instructed to conduct a complete survey

and provide immediate compensation. We will introduce a new package for the

farmers, through which the losses suffered by the farmers will be compensated.

Chief Minister Yogi was addressing a public gathering on

Sunday after inaugurating the Bhopa Bazaar (level crossing number 147B) railway

overbridge in Chauri Chaura, built at a cost of Rs 59.44 crore, and laying the

foundation stone for a total of 84 development projects worth Rs 287.56 crore.

Launching a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party, he said that the Samajwadi

Party (SP) had turned Uttar Pradesh into a hub of crime during its tenure. The

SP government promoted crime, while the double-engine BJP government has led

Uttar Pradesh towards self-reliance. The SP government nurtured criminals to

loot, while the BJP government has demonstrated change through development.

Uttar Pradesh is no longer a land of decline and exploitation, but a land of

progress and culture. There are no curfews, disturbances, or riots here, but

celebrations. During Akhilesh Yadav's tenure, outsiders would flee at the

mention of Uttar Pradesh. Today, people from Uttar Pradesh are welcomed and

respected.

Explaining the difference between the SP and BJP governments,

the Chief Minister said that the BJP government provided government jobs to 1

million youth in 10 years. It provided One District-One Medical

College, One District-One Product, and One District-One

Cuisine. It also destroyed the mafia. Now, no mafia dares to encroach on

the land of a poor person. No one can compromise the safety of a daughter,

because they know the consequences of doing so.

India grows with a new identity under the leadership of PM

Modi: CM Yogi said that today Gorakhpur is developing. Uttar Pradesh has

transformed, and India has progressed with a new identity in the world. This is

a new India, where 1.4 billion Indians feel proud under Modi's leadership.

According to a World Bank report, in the last 12 years, 460 million people have

risen above the poverty line and have the opportunity to live a normal life. PM

Modi has worked to free the country from the stigma of poverty. The lives of

the poor have seen unprecedented change. They are getting housing, toilets in

their homes, and accessing free rations. For the first time, 550 million people

in the country have received the free benefit of Ayushman Bharat, which

provides Rs. 5 lakh per year. Jan Dhan accounts have been opened for 550

million people. Under the corrupt Congress government, the poor received only Rs.

15 out of every Rs. 100, whereas now, through Jan Dhan accounts, the poor

receive the full Rs. 100.

Pandit Nehru did not defend the Chauri Chaura

revolutionaries: Chief Minister Yogi said that in the historic Chauri Chaura

incident, 172 patriots were hanged by the British. These Congressmen claim that

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was a great advocate for the country. However, the

truth is that Pandit Nehru did not represent these 172 farmers, laborers, and

businessmen at that time. Then Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya stepped forward to

represent them. Malaviya succeeded in saving 151 revolutionaries from the

gallows. The Chief Minister said that the Bhopa Bazaar Railway Overbridge

should be renamed the Martyrs Memorial Overbridge. He also mentioned the

efforts of Kamlesh Paswan, Sangeeta Yadav, Jaiprakash Nishad, and Sarwan Nishad

for the overbridge.

Bandhu Singh, a devotee of Tarkulha Devi, shook the

foundations of the British government.

The Chief Minister

said that it is our good fortune that the double engine government has released

funds for the beautification of Maa Tarkulha Devi. When we talk about Tarkulha

Devi, we also remember Babu Bandhu Singh. Babu Bandhu Singh had shaken the foundations

of the British in the first freedom struggle of 1857. He was sentenced to death

in Gorakhpur. It is said that when he was being hanged, the noose kept breaking

again and again. In the end, Babu Bandhu Singh himself appealed to Maa

Tarkulha, 'Mother, do not delay now, many Bandhu Singhs will be born, now put

me to sleep in your lap.' The Chief

Minister said that with Bandhu Singh, the Tarkulha Devi temple became immortal

and a center of faith for devotees. Today, everyone visits the Tarkulha Devi temple

to seek the mother's blessings and also remember and pay tribute to the

revolutionary martyr Bandhu Singh.

Pandit Malaviya gets Bharat Ratna, honours revolutionaries

of Chauri Chaura: The Chief Minister said that everyone who understands Indian

history knows about Chauri Chaura. The impact of the Chauri Chaura incident was

so profound that even the Congress leadership was shaken. They suspended the

movement, but nothing stopped them. By awarding Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya,

who championed the cause of the Chauri Chaura revolutionaries, the government

expressed its gratitude by awarding him the Bharat Ratna. This Bharat Ratna is

also a tribute to the revolutionaries of Chauri Chaura.

Development projects are the gift of Diwali and Chhath to

Chauri Chaura: The Chief Minister said that the development projects

inaugurated and foundation stones laid today are a gift to Chauri Chaura on the

occasion of Diwali and Chhath. In the first phase, we built a railway

overbridge and provided a road. We spent more money on compensation than the

cost of building this road. The reason is that traffic here should not be

disrupted.

Union Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh

Paswan, Fisheries Department Minister Dr. Sanjay Nishad, Chauri Chaura MLA

Sarwan Nishad, Rajya Sabha MP Sangeeta Yadav, MLC and BJP State Vice President

Dr. Dharmendra Singh, MLAs Shriram Chauhan, Vipin Singh, Pradeep Shukla, former

Rajya Sabha MP Jaiprakash Nishad, BJP Regional President Vinod Rai, District

President Janardan Tiwari, District Incharge Ajay Singh Gautam, Suman Yadav,

Sunny Jaiswal etc. were present in the function.

On the stage of the inauguration and foundation stone laying

ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi also honored the beneficiaries of various

government schemes by giving them certificates etc. Rambachan, Ashok Singh,

Rajmangal, beneficiaries of the Agriculture Department scheme, Sheela Devi,

Usha Devi, beneficiaries of the Chief Minister's Housing Scheme, Gunja Devi,
