New Delhi, 01 November (H.S.): Union Health Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president J.P. Nadda launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi and the Congress over the INDIA bloc's mega rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on Sunday, alleging that the events unfolding there were not an expression of respect for democracy but a calculated attempt to push the country towards anarchy in its name.
In a video message posted on X on Sunday,JP Nadda described the rally as a calculated political exercise by leaders who, he said, had repeatedly been rejected by the electorate. He asserted that the public was fully aware of what he called their political strategy.
Outlining what he termed Rahul Gandhi's model of politics, JP Nadda alleged that it comprised four stages. The first, he said, involved spreading falsehoods and rumours; the second, creating an atmosphere of anarchy and disorder on the streets; the third, damaging the country's economy; and the fourth, attempting to destabilise an elected government at the behest of foreign powers.
He further accused Rahul Gandhi and the INDIA bloc of attempting to create a political environment under the pretext of defending democracy that could undermine the country's peace, economy and democratic institutions.
Referring to the Congress's past, JP Nadda said the party could neither conceal the dark chapters of November's history nor evade accountability for the suffering of Delhi's traders. He asserted that India was a strong democracy governed by its Constitution and the people's mandate, and not by what he described as the Congress's riot-based politics.
JP Nadda also claimed that the rally would prove to be the final nail in the coffin of the Congress's political decline.
