Mumbai, 09 October (H.S.): Excitement continues to build around the much-anticipated film ‘Ramayana’, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The makers have unveiled the first-look posters of actresses Lara Dutta and Sheeba Chaddha, offering audiences a glimpse of their respective characters in the epic cinematic adaptation.

Earlier, the makers released a poster featuring Arun Govil as King Dasharatha. The latest reveal, showcasing Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara, has further heightened anticipation for the film. Produced by Namit Malhotra and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release during Diwali 2026.

In the newly released poster, Lara Dutta appears in a regal and commanding avatar as Queen Kaikeyi. Her expression conveys seriousness, determination and anger, while her traditional attire and elaborate jewellery accentuate her royal persona.

Sheeba Chaddha, meanwhile, is seen portraying Manthara, Kaikeyi’s maid. Her facial expressions offer a glimpse into the character’s shrewd and scheming nature. Both characters occupy pivotal positions in the narrative of the Ramayana, as Kaikeyi’s decisions, influenced by Manthara’s counsel, play a crucial role in the events that lead to Lord Rama’s exile.

Sharing the posters, the makers hinted at how Kaikeyi’s desires and Manthara’s cunning would shape the chain of events that changes Rama’s destiny.

In the film, Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi will play Mata Sita. The ensemble cast also includes Yash, Ravi Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh and Sunny Deol, among several other actors in significant roles.

Mounted on a grand scale, ‘Ramayana’ continues to generate considerable discussion on social media, with its latest posters and character reveals adding to the growing buzz surrounding the ambitious cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic.
