
Imphal, 09 October (HS): A head constable of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) sustained minor injuries after unidentified miscreants hurled a grenade at a security force installation in New Lambulane in Manipur’s Imphal East district on Thursday night.
According to sources, the grenade was thrown at the entrance gate of B/107 RAF at around 10 pm on October 8. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Porompat police station.
The injured personnel has been identified as Dhananjay Rai, a head constable originally from Uttar Pradesh. He sustained minor injuries in the explosion.
The attack has raised concerns over the security situation in the area. However, the motive behind the incident and the identities of those involved have not yet been established.
