Guwahati, 09 October (HS): Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita on Friday visited the Passport Seva Kendra in Guwahati to review its functioning and assess the delivery of passport-related services.

During the visit, Margherita interacted with passport applicants to obtain their feedback on the services provided at the centre. He also held discussions with officials to take stock of the overall functioning of the facility and review the mechanisms in place for passport service delivery.

Emphasising the need for efficient and citizen-centric services, the minister stressed that applicants should have a smooth and hassle-free experience throughout the passport application process.

Margherita shared details of his visit in a social media post, stating that he had reviewed the functioning of the Guwahati Passport Seva Kendra and interacted with both applicants and officials to assess service delivery.

The visit was aimed at gathering direct feedback from citizens and reviewing the existing arrangements to ensure better service delivery at the passport facility.-----------
