Nagaon (Assam), 09 October (HS): BJP candidate Devashish Sharma on Friday expressed his first reaction to the outcome of the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election, saying that voters had overwhelmingly supported the BJP in the hope of development and change.

Sharma said the people of Nagaon had extended their wholehearted support to the BJP, reflecting their aspirations for development in the constituency.

Reacting to the election outcome, Sharma's wife Jahnavi Sharma also expressed happiness, stating that the people of Nagaon had voted wholeheartedly for the BJP in the interest of development.

She said she was extremely happy with the response from voters and described the outcome as a moment of happiness for the family.

The BJP candidate's remarks came after the by-election counting trends going in favour of the BJP, which drew attention to the political contest in the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency.------------
