New Delhi, 09 October (H.S.):

The Delhi government has transferred 34 officers belonging to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS), in a major administrative reshuffle.

Under an order issued by the Delhi government's Department of Personnel on October 8, with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor, the responsibilities of 34 officers have been reshuffled. Several senior officials have been assigned additional departmental charges, while the existing responsibilities of some others have been revised. The order has come into immediate effect.

According to the order, 1992-batch IAS officer Bipul Pathak has been assigned additional charge of the Delhi Cooperative Housing Finance Corporation, the Delhi Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Minorities Finance and Development Corporation, and the Department of Women and Child Development, alongside his position as Additional Chief Secretary (Social Welfare). He has also been entrusted with the responsibility of Financial Commissioner.

Meanwhile, 1993-batch IAS officer Prashant Goyal has been assigned charge of the Delhi Financial Corporation, Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation, Department of Administrative Reforms, and Department of Health and Family Welfare, in addition to his position as Additional Chief Secretary (Power).

IAS officer Naveen Kumar Chaudhary, a 1994-batch officer, has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary (General Administration Department). He will also continue to hold charge of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department and the Food and Civil Supplies Department.

IAS officer Dilraj Kaur has been relieved of the additional charge of Managing Director of the Delhi Cooperative Housing Finance Corporation and the Delhi Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Minorities Finance and Development Corporation. She will continue as Principal Secretary of the Education Department, Higher Education Department, and Technical Training and Education Department.

Niharika Rai has been assigned responsibility as Secretary-cum-Commissioner (Transport), along with the post of Chairperson-cum-Managing Director of the Delhi Transport Corporation. Her additional charge as Secretary of the Tourism Department has been withdrawn.

Rupesh Kumar Thakur has been relieved of his position as Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department and appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board.

Sanjay Kumar has been appointed Managing Director of the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC). He has also been given additional charge as Secretary of the Information Technology Department and Officer on Special Duty in the Planning Department. This arrangement will remain in force until the retirement of IAS officer Yashpal Garg, following which Sanjay Kumar will assume charge as Secretary of the Planning Department.

K. Mahesh has been appointed Secretary of the Department of Art, Culture and Languages. He will also hold additional charge as Managing Director of the Delhi Khadi and Village Industries Board.

Ajay Kumar Gupta has been assigned multiple responsibilities, including Food Safety Commissioner, Managing Director of Delhi Transco Limited, Chairperson of Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited and Pragati Power Corporation Limited, Chairperson-cum-Managing Director of Delhi Power Company Limited, and Chairperson of the Pension Trust. His charge as Secretary of the Home Department has been withdrawn.

Prasanna Ramaswamy has been appointed Additional Commissioner in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), while Aarti Lal Sharma has been assigned additional charge as Secretary of the Tourism Department alongside her position as Secretary of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department.

B. S. Jaglan has been transferred from the post of Additional Commissioner in the MCD and appointed Controller of Weights and Measures.

Dr Satyendra Singh Dursawat has been appointed Director of Technical Training and Education and Higher Education. Pankaj Kumar has been posted to the MCD, while Avnish Kumar has been appointed Excise Commissioner.

In another set of changes, Ada Raja Babu has been transferred from the post of Special Registrar (Cooperative Societies) and appointed Special Secretary (Home). Mekala Chaitanya Prasad has been assigned additional charge as Special Secretary in the Public Works Department (PWD), alongside his position as Special Secretary (Health).

Nazuk Kumar has been relieved of his position as Managing Director of DSIIDC and appointed Special Secretary (Land and Building). Dilkhush Meena has been posted to the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), while Chimala Shiva Gopal Reddy has been appointed Deputy Commissioner in the MCD.

Rajiv Singh has been assigned responsibility as a Member of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, along with the post of Special Secretary in the PWD.

Swati Shemar has been appointed Additional Director (Education), replacing Patil Pranjal Lahensingh, who has been transferred to the Department of Women and Child Development.

DANICS Officers Also Transferred

The order also announces changes in the postings and responsibilities of DANICS officers.

Lekharaj has been promoted from Additional Secretary (ACL) to Special Secretary (ACL).

Arun Gupta has been posted to the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) upon joining the Delhi government.

Padmakar Ram Tripathi has been appointed Joint Commissioner (Transport), while Mohammed Rehan Raza has been transferred from the post of Additional Secretary (Planning) to Additional Secretary (Health and Family Welfare).

Harshit Jain has been transferred from the post of Joint Secretary (LAS) and appointed Joint Secretary in the Chief Minister's Office.

Rohankar Piyush Arun has been transferred from the NDMC and appointed Joint Commissioner (Development), replacing Mohan Kumar.

Harminder Singh has been relieved of his position as Director in the NDMC and appointed Additional Private Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor. Deepak Pundir, meanwhile, has been transferred from the post of Additional Private Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor and appointed Director in the NDMC.

Mohan Kumar has been assigned additional charge as Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) for the North-East district, alongside his existing responsibility as Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) for the East district.

Dr Tapadia Shrikant Rajendra Prasad has been assigned additional charge as an officer under the Emergency Ambulance Services Programme, alongside his responsibility as Deputy Commissioner (Food Safety).

Ravinder Kumar has been appointed Deputy Director in the Department of Women and Child Development. He has also been given additional charge as Member Secretary of the Delhi Commission for Women.

K. Bujar Jamhar has been appointed Assistant Commissioner (Food and Civil Supplies).

All transfers and appointments specified in the order have come into immediate effect.
