Beijing, 08 October (H.S.):

India’s Manush Shah and Manav Thakkar advanced to the men’s doubles semifinals of the WTT China Smash 2026 on Thursday. The Indian pair defeated China’s Liang Jingkun and Xiang Peng 3-0 in straight games in the quarterfinals.

The second-seeded Indian duo secured a 11-9, 11-5, 11-4 victory in a match that lasted 19 minutes. Manush and Manav strengthened their dominance as the contest progressed, winning three consecutive games to book their place in the last four.

In the semifinals, they will face the winners of the match between Sweden’s Anton Källberg and Kristian Karlsson and South Korea’s Lim Jonghoon and Oh Junsung.

Manush Shah will also feature in the mixed doubles semifinals on Thursday. Partnering Diya Chitale, he will take on Chinese Taipei’s Lin Yun-Ju and Cheng I-Ching.

The China Smash 2026 is being held in Beijing from October 1 to 11.
