
New Delhi, 08 October (H.S.): President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders on Thursday greeted personnel of the Indian Air Force on Air Force Day, commending their courage, dedication and commitment to safeguarding the nation's skies.
President Murmu, in her message, said the Indian Air Force had rendered exemplary service to the nation while maintaining high standards of professionalism, discipline and preparedness. She also referred to Operation Sindoor, saying it demonstrated the courage, precision and operational preparedness of the air warriors.
Greetings to all air warriors, veterans and their families on Air Force Day. The Indian Air Force has rendered exemplary service to the nation, upholding high standards of professionalism, discipline and preparedness, Murmu said in a social media post.
Prime Minister Modi also greeted IAF personnel and their families, saying the country was proud of its air warriors. He said the personnel had demonstrated courage and commitment in protecting the country's skies.
In a video message, Modi said the conditions in the sky were unpredictable and acknowledged the challenges faced by IAF personnel. He said the force had demonstrated its capabilities and given citizens a sense of security.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended greetings to the IAF on the occasion. He paid tribute to the air warriors for their valour, precision and operational capabilities and remembered those who had laid down their lives in service of the nation.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also greeted the air warriors and their families, describing the Indian Air Force as a symbol of courage, strength and resolve.
Indian Air Force Day is observed annually on October 8 to commemorate the establishment of the IAF in 1932. Over the years, the force has evolved into a major component of India's armed forces, responsible for safeguarding the country's airspace and conducting aerial operations.
