Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin visited
Kashi on Wednesday to participate in a program organized as part of the
Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra
Modi's service work. The BJP president, who is on a two-day visit, was given a
grand welcome at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Babatpur.
Among those who welcomed him were Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief
Minister Brajesh Pathak, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, party's
national minister Jagdish Patel, MLC Ashwani Tyagi, state general secretary
Abhijat Mishra, Dilip Patel, state vice president and Kashi region in-charge
Ramesh Singh, Kashi region president Ashok Chaurasia, region vice president
Vipin Singh and state minister BJP Kisan Morcha and airport protocol in-charge
Shailesh Pandey etc. The national president left for Jagatpur Inter College from
the airport in a convoy of vehicles. The national president will address the
public meeting organised at the college. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma are also participating
in the public meeting. The BJP president will participate in eight different
meetings in Varanasi. After this, on Thursday, he will also visit and worship
at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
