Varanasi, 7 Oct (HS):

The Abe Memorial Corridor in Varanasi (Kashi) was launched by Uttar

Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday. Dedicated to the memories

of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, as well as the strong cultural,

spiritual, and geopolitical links that exist between India and Japan. The

initiative emphasizes Varanasi's historical and civilizational ties to Japan,

with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underlining the two countries' mutual

trust.

At the ceremony organized in Varanasi district for the

inauguration of the Abe Memorial Corridor, UP CM said, “The India-Japan

friendship is a living bridge of a legacy of trust, a partnership for

development, and the warmth of two ancient civilizations, which has been

elevated to new heights by the Honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji

and Japan's former Prime Minister, the late Shinzo Abe ji. On the occasion of

the inauguration of the 'Abe Memorial Corridor' dedicated to this very warm

friendship and the memories of Shinzo Abe ji, I will participate today in the

program being held at the Rudraksh Convention Centre in Kashi. Today, this very

warmth is also becoming a new force in economic partnership. Uttar Pradesh has

already signed MoUs worth approximately Rs. 90,000 crore with Japanese

companies. From Kashi to Kyoto, from faith to economy, this friendship is now

paving a new path to shared prosperity.”

program, various topics related to the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' being run to

commemorate the completion of 25 years of service work of Prime Minister

Narendra Modi will be given prominence.
