
Hooghly, 07 October (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday organised a ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ in Hooghly to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service. A large number of BJP supporters and workers from different parts of the district gathered at the Piplapti DI Ground in Chinsurah.
According to the Serampore organisational district BJP, party workers participated in the programme to strengthen the resolve of building a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
The event also featured a live broadcast of a central programme highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public life and service to the nation.
A bike rally was organised from Khadina More, with the participation of state ministers Bhaskar Bhattacharya and Sumana Sarkar, MLA Dipanjan Guha, Swaraj Ghosh, Tushar Majumdar, Hooghly organisational district BJP president Gautam Chattopadhyay, and Serampore organisational district BJP president Shashi Singh among others.
BJP leaders said the initiative aims to take the spirit of public service to the people, particularly the youth, and strengthen the resolve towards building a developed India.
