Bhubaneswar, 07 October (H.S.): Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday participated in the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ and ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ organised in Angola to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s completion of 25 years of dedicated public service, good governance and development.
Pradhan listened to Prime Minister Modi’s address to the nation through virtual mode and participated in the ‘Seva Jyoti Prajjwalan’ and a mass foot march organised for the establishment of the ‘Seva Jyoti’.
Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan said the journey of public service undertaken by Modi after taking oath as Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, has given a new direction to the country’s development. He said the trust and faith of the people have been the Prime Minister’s greatest strength.
“Working with the spirit of ‘Nation First’ and a mission-oriented approach, rather than merely focusing on positions, has enabled India to emerge as a self-reliant and strong nation on the global stage,” Pradhan said.
Referring to Prime Minister Modi’s message, Pradhan said the “We Will Do It” confidence mantra would inspire the people to move forward with renewed determination. Building a developed India by 2047 and achieving excellence in technology and every sphere of national life are collective goals, he added.
Pradhan said completion of 25 years of public service and good governance by Prime Minister Modi was a matter of pride for every Indian. He called upon people to embrace the Prime Minister’s mantra of service and the spirit of swadeshi to realise the vision of a developed Odisha and a developed India. He also prayed for the Prime Minister’s long life and good health.
As part of the programme, Pradhan joined the ‘Seva Jyoti Prajjwalan’ and ‘Seva Jyoti Sthapana’ foot march in Angul. He described the march not merely as a walking programme but as a powerful expression of public participation and a collective resolve towards nation-building.
Under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, Pradhan visited the Anganwadi (Kha) Centre at Turang in Angul district and interacted with children, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and beneficiaries. A collective pledge was taken for child protection, maternal welfare, cleanliness and de-addiction.
Pradhan said government schemes can achieve their full impact only when complemented by active participation and cooperation from society. Such collective efforts, he said, are essential to ensure proper nutrition, care and a bright future for children.
“Our next generation is the real foundation of Developed Odisha by 2036 and Developed India by 2047,” Pradhan said, adding that the double-engine government, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, remains committed to ensuring better health for children and the safety and welfare of mothers.
