07 Oct (HS): Gadchiroli Police detected six firearms and huge explosives buried
by the Maoist in Koparshi jungle on the Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border. The
ammunition was detected on Tuesday. The operation was carried out by Special
Mission Squad, Pranhita C-60 and BDDS.
The Special Mission Squad cordoned entire
forest premises for the search operation and detected one .303 Rifle, two
single shot Rifle, two country-made pistols, one BGL Launcher, ten BGL Cell, 21
cartridges and two magazines. The explosives and other material seized include seven
detonators, 150 meter cable, two cookers, three walkie talkie, three walkie
talkies chargers and two walkie talkie chargers. Police also found some
literature relating to Maoist movement and planning.
