Kaushambi, 6 Oct (HS):

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya arrived at his

ancestral home in Sirathu on Tuesday afternoon. He first performed a havan with

his family on the death anniversary of his father, the late Shyam Lal Maurya,

and offered flowers to his father's portrait. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav

Prasad Maurya spent about three hours in the district. During this time, he

held a meeting with officials at the Saira Guest House and listened to the

problems of the general public.

Speaking to the media around 4 pm, Maurya took a dig at

Akhilesh Yadav's claims for the 2022 assembly elections. He said that Akhilesh

had claimed to win 403 seats, but the SP was reduced to just 111. This time,

the SP's situation is even worse. It would be a big deal if the SP even reached

a half-century in the assembly elections.

Deputy CM Maurya claimed that the BJP will again form the

government with an absolute majority in 2027. He said that the BJP is the party

of the present and the future, and that the BJP will remain in power in the

country until 2047. On the opposition's allegations against the Election

Commission, he said that due to its inability to compete with the BJP, the

opposition targets Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the name of the Election

Commission.

Countering Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Maurya

said that a tea seller born into a very backward caste has become Prime

Minister for the third consecutive term. He said that Prime Minister Modi

deserves the trust of the country's 1.4 billion people and has received the

highest honors from 36 countries. Maurya claimed that Congress and Rahul Gandhi

are not accepting India's growing prestige. He said that Congress and the

Samajwadi Party are not going to form a government in the country or in Uttar Pradesh.
