
Guwahati, 06 October (HS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organise the Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra across Assam on October 7 as part of the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan being held to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service.
BJYM president Rakesh Das said the yatra commemorates Modi’s first oath as Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001. BJP spokesperson Mita Nath Bora said senior women workers and youth will participate in the yatra across the state.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP state president Dilip Saikia, Union and state ministers, MPs, MLAs and senior organisational leaders will participate at different locations. Programmes will be held across 33 districts and organisational areas, including Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Jorhat.------------
